Candy Airplane

Candy Airplanes
2/9/22

Fly off on a sweet trip with these fun-to-make candy airplanes. These clever little treats are the perfect surprise for your Valentine, family members, or besties. Our craft makes 7 airplanes.

Candy Airplane Materials

Materials:

  • 7 sticks of fruit-flavored gum or bubble gum
  • 7 rolls of Smarties roll candy
  • Cherry Life Savers candy*
  • 7 2” rubber bands
  • Small bowl
  • Valentine print craft paper
  • Tape

Instructions:

Remove Life Savers from the wrapper, place in a bowl, and set aside.

Trim craft paper into 2 3/4” x 2” pieces—you will need one piece per plane.

Fold the Valentine craft paper around the stick of gum and secure with tape or glue.

Thread the rubber band through the holes of the 2 Life Savers.

Place the Smarties roll in between the two Life Savers and on top of the rubber band.

Pull up the rubber bands on each side and slide the stick of gum over the top of the Smarties roll and secure the stick of gum in place to create the airplane’s wings.

Share with your Valentines!

*Life Savers candies should only be given to children over the age of 3 years
