Jelly Jar Snow Globes

Jelly Jar Snow Globes
1/19/22

What fun to create a snow globe scene at home! All you need is your imagination and a quick stop at your favorite craft store for a few materials.

Jelly Jar Snow Globes Materials

Materials:

  • Small jelly jar (with a rubber seal)
  • Hot melt glue and Elmer’s glue
  • Miniature bristle brush trees
  • Craft store miniature figurines
  • Iridescent snowflake glitter
  • One cup water
  • White modeling clay

Instructions:

Remove the lid from the jelly jar

Use the inside of the jelly jar lid as the “base” for your globe scene

Gather your characters, the bristle brush trees, and hot melt glue

Bend the bottoms of the brush trees into an l-shape and use hot melt to glue them down

Apply glue to the bottom of each character, arrange, and let dry

Apply a layer of hot melt to the lid, add a layer of clay, brush with glue, cover with white glitter and let dry

Fill the jar about ¾ of the way to the top

Add one tablespoon of glitter to the water

Turn the lid upside down, dropping your scene into the jar, and fasten the lid closed

Shake and enjoy!

Arendelle Ice Cream Dessert

Arendelle Ice Cream Dessert
1/12/22

If the weather outside is frightful, make something delightful with the kids. These recipes and activities are guaranteed to warm up your little ones on a chilly day. We recommend doubling up the recipe for seconds—because it’s delicious!

Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • 1 Package of blue raspberry Jell-O
  • 2-4 Cups of vanilla ice cream
  • Dessert cups
  • Blender
  • Freezer safe container with lid
  • Whipped cream (optional)
  • Blue sprinkles for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

Boil 2 cups of water and the Jell-O—let cool and set aside

Add 2 cups of vanilla ice cream to the Jell-O mixture and blend on high (you may double this for larger groups)

Pour the ice cream and Jell-O mix into a freezer-safe container and freeze for 15-20 minutes

Remove frozen mixture from the freezer, let it thaw slightly, scoop and fill a dessert cup and add sprinkles

If using a whipped cream garnish, add the sprinkles after applying the whipped cream and serve immediately
