Hacks for the Holidays #7

holiday hack 7

Tag It Up!

I always feel a little guilty when I see the pile of greeting cards at the end of every holiday. Do I just toss them out…along with all of the good wishes from friends and family? There are so many of them with lovely card stock, colorful paper, fun artwork, metallic ink, foil and photographs! Hack #7 is a great activity to do with the kids and it makes good use of those old cards!

Recycle old holiday cards into gift tags! Let the kids use glitter to jazz them up for reuse. You can also go to the dollar store and mount them on inexpensive, solid color bags for fun and thrifty gift wrapping!

You will need

  • Old greeting cards
  • Colored card stock or scrapbook paper
  • Glue sticks or other adhesive
  • Scissors
  • String, ribbon or metallic cord
